Tooth whitening

Nowadays a beautiful smile and sparkling white teeth are a synonym of success. Unfortunately, tea, coffee, cigarettes and even fruit juice affect the colour of our teeth making them yellowish or greyish and dull. Discoloured teeth make us smile less and less often. Tooth bleaching (or whitening) is an effective solution to the problem. Our dental practice performs two types of professional bleaching: laser and tray bleaching. Below you can read about the procedures:

Laser bleaching:

   - first appointment: first, your dentist performs a professional dental cleaning by removing residue from the teeth surface and applies a protective gel to your gums. The gel is hardened with the help of a UV lamp for a moment. Next, a whitening product is placed on your teeth and activated with light for 15 minutes. To achieve best results, it is recommended to repeat the procedure 3 times. Sparkling white teeth in an hour? It sounds reliable now.

Tray bleaching:

   - first appointment: after an initial examination and removing residues from the teeth surface, your dentist takes impressions on custom trays in order to have your bleaching trays created.
   - second appointment: You are provided with a special whitening kit consisting of custom bleaching trays fabricated from your tooth impressions and syringes filled with a bleaching gel. The trays should be placed on your teeth for the following 3-4 nights.
